Garden Room as Sun Room in Stockport Manchester
Former engineer Dennis and district nurse Val, decided to replace a redundant outbuilding with a luxury Garden Room at their home in Stockport, Manchester where they could relax with their dog Patch, and enjoy their garden.
Dennis said: “We had a large double garage, which we were just using for storage and which took up a lot of space. We didn’t put cars in it, just other stuff so we decided to replace it with something nicer, as it was surplus to requirements really.
“We trawled through the internet and Rubicon sounded like the best bet for what we were after.
“We made an appointment and went down to the showroom on Deeside. There we met managing director John, spent time looking at the different examples on show and examining the products, and then had a good chat about what we needed.
“What Rubicon offered was perfect for what we wanted and, once we started the process with them, the work was done in just two to three weeks.
“The team turned up every day at the time John said they would, and were polite and very easy to get along with.
“Having them here working in the garden was no trouble at and I would recommend Rubicon Garden Rooms without a doubt - in fact some of the neighbours have already been round to see it and ask where we got it.
“It’s a beautiful extra fully insulated Garden Room with plenty of light and double doors - it is heated too, so we will be able to use it in the winter as well.
“It was a bit of a luxury really. We didn’t really need the space but we just thought it would be quite nice to have.”
Val said: “I can say hand on heart that John and his the team from Rubicon were the nicest people we have ever had work for us.
“After we visited the Deeside showroom, John came to our house to look around the site, and spent time just chatting through exactly what we needed.
“We never felt rushed or pressurised, and had time to think about what we wanted - his whole manner makes him such a good person to deal with. We felt that we were getting a good product.
“We really love our zero maintenance Garden Room and know that we will spend a lot of time in it.
“We have put a sofa and chair in there and it’s a nice little relaxation space where we can chill out. We have quite a big garden so when we’ve been working in that we can pop in there for a sit down and a cuppa, or just take the papers in there to read.
“There’s a hi-fi system installed too so we can have a bit of music and we’re both retired so it’s nice to have some extra space to enjoy that time.
“We spend a lot of time walking in the Lake District so when we’re at home we tend to just relax. We have a dog, Patch, too and he is welcome to join us there – as long as he wipes his paws, of course....”
